Sabrina Leacock is a Partner and member of the Corporate and Commercial Practice Group and the Private Client and Trusts Practice Group. She works primarily in the areas of mutual funds, unit trusts and private non-contentious trusts.
Sabrina’s practice includes advising investment managers, promoters and administrators on the structuring and establishment of mutual funds in the form of corporate funds, unit trusts and partnerships and advising settlors, beneficiaries and trustees on all aspects of Cayman Islands trusts law including regulatory advice under the Banks and Trust Companies Law. She also advises on a wide range of commercial trust transactions, including STAR trusts and charitable trusts for SPV transactions.
Sabrina joined the group in 2004 having previously worked at Turner & Roulstone and Walkers in the Cayman Islands.
Born in Jamaica and educated in the Cayman Islands, the Bahamas and Canada, Sabrina obtained an L.L.B Honours degree from the University of Liverpool, England, graduating in 1995. Sabrina completed her Professional Practitioners Course through the Cayman Islands Law School and Queen’s University of Belfast, Northern Ireland. She was called to the Cayman Islands Bar in December 1997.
Sabrina is a member of the Cayman Islands Law Society and the Caymanian Bar Association. She is also a Notary Public.
